Attendance Policy

The curriculum for each year is special and unique, yet builds on and reinforces the curriculum from the previous year. Therefore, regular, continuous class enrollment and attendance, from  year to year, is expected and is a requirement for those wishing to prepare for, and celebrate, the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

At times, absences are unavoidable. However, parents must make every effort to prioritize their child's faith formation experience as they do with other activities in which their child engages.

In all cases, children are responsible for work missed because of absences and may not be registered for the next grade level or sacrament preparation program until all work missed is made up by doing special assignments. This is accomplished through the coordinated efforts of parents, catechists of the children involved and the Director of Religious Education.

Scope of Program

Catechesis is offered from

Pre-School ( 4 and 5 Year Olds) through

Grade 9 ( Preparation for the Reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation).

Specific curriculum objectives at each level of the program requires yearly enrollment in order to maximize sound, meaningful faith formation.

Continuous, yearly, participation in Christian Formation Programs is also necessary for those wishing to prepare for, and celebrate, the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

Special Liturgies ( Eucharistic and Non-Eucharistic)

for children and families are scheduled during the year.
